CB1100 Idle speed instability problem

I own a 2013-model with 15000 km on the clock and it began having idle speed issues about two months ago. The problem started while driving through town in hot weather with many stops where suddenly the idle got very low and the engine nearly stalled. This happened only once but afterwards when the bike got warm the idle would never go below 1700-1800 rpm. I went to the Honda shop which initially did not know what to do but after som testing he updated the software and replaced the engine oil temperature sensor. And it seems to have solved the problem so far. The expense was covered under the Honda 5-year warranty.
