A minor intake leak could also cause a high idle.
Are all the clamps on the hoses from throttle bodies to intake manifold snug?
Yep, happened on my 2016 Moto Guzzi V7II, ~300 miles from home at my youngest daughter's. Made it a challenge to give grandkids a ride.
I've heard rumors that one CB1100 owner was so annoyed that he sold his CB with idle issues...then got another...
Indeed!
Only 104 F here today (40 C), but humid...for the desert
Flash flood warning for the mountains
Only rode about 70 miles today, but came home dripping
Not an issue riding, but sitting at long traffic lights is not pleasant
The CB does not seem to care

or do an engine shutoff with the red kill switch just to see if it normalizes itself( iacv cycles when this is done ).
Is it 1500 all the time or just sometimes?
We're synchronised again Doc
