IF you guys are still under warranty, can't you simply demand your dealer to replace the throttle body under warranty?

You'd help us all by making the issue official to Honda.
If Honda can collect a larger number of faulty parts, maybe they can find a common root cause in those faulty parts?

Because, lets face it, everything that has been tried out here or suggested here, simply does not work.

Riko, a tech from Honda diagnosed johnf514 high idle as a problem in the IACV. They replaced the IACV and after 3+ months he hasn't had a problem. Am I correct johnf? Riko see his post #142 in this thread.

Here is johnf514's post:

"Chiming in again for new members with my experience.

Bought a 2014 CB1100 EX with 6100 miles on it in Feb 2016, with over one year of warranty left.

Issue occurred three times over the last 10 months (high idle condition). The first two times, the dealership reset the ECU, which treated the symptom, but did not resolve the issue, and the high idle condition returned.

The third time I took the bike to the dealer, I demanded that they keep the bike until the issue was resolved before resetting the ECU. Honda sent a tech to the dealership and they determined the IACV motor was sending faulty information to the ECU, thus causing it to enter "limp mode." The dealership replaced the IACV motor (this was 3 months ago) and the issue has not returned.

I have 3 more months of warranty left, and I hope the condition does not return. Let me know if you have any questions."

Riko, a tech from Honda diagnosed johnf514 high idle as a problem in the IACV. .... I was talking about the low idling issues that lead to stalling.

To be honest, and this is a first time talking about it here....I think, but from time to time I also experience a high idle running bike.

But it doesnt bother me nearly as much as the low idle stalling issue I had, so I won't even mention it.

+ its rare and I cannot possibly say what triggers it, let alone what the solution is to fix that 'issue'

Like johnf514 you speak of an EX...and you're from the US, so I assume you do not have an EX since they are not sold in the States.
It came out by his describtion he doesnt own an EX, wich makes sense...

And I have to repeat, you are sharing info regarding the high idling issues, while I'm talking all the time about low idle + stalling.

Don't mix things up that will lead to confusion.
Be carefull with posts on boards, and faulty information Smile

I know members from asia and europe read this board because they have their specific issues, as you can read in this thread, and I want to shime in by correcting confusing information...
Nothing more confusing than wrong info.
