I am very anxious to hear what the dealer finds on Riko's bike. The same situation on my bike is getting worse. Started the ride yesterday with a 1500 RPM idle (after warm-up). We rode a few miles in town, stopping at about 8 or 10 stoplights before stopping for a bite to eat. Each time the idle speed was 1500 RPM. The bike sat for approximately 1/2 hr before restarting and when I did restart it, it idled at a perfect 1100 RPM. This lasted for about 30 minutes, and a dozen or so stops, before it started the "low" (600) RPM idle thing again at every stop. The motor stalled three times, but more often when coming to a stop, in neutral, the RPM would drop to 600, then slowly work its way back up to 1100. Parked the bike for about two hours when we had dinner, and when I restarted it it was back up to a 1500 RPM idle again. By the time I reached home it was back to the 600 RPM idle mode. Based on another post there's a good chance this is the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), but since I don't have the diagnostic capability I don't want to replace it unless I am convinced this is the culprit.
