Well, it absolutely could be worded more clearly if there is a difference. I remember watching a review video that stated they were stainless, but now you have cast a bit of doubt on that.
Would you need to zinc-plate stainless steel? I would imagine if it wasn't necessary the bean counters would nix that from an accounting perspective during production. More than that though, stainless is already corrosion resistant. More resistant than zinc plating actually if the stainless steel is not some janky alloy.
When I ask Google if you should zinc plate stainless steel, it's AI response says:
"No, you generally should not zinc coat stainless steel because doing so can actually decrease its corrosion resistance, as the zinc layer can create a galvanic corrosion cell with the stainless steel, leading to faster degradation in certain environments; essentially, you are adding a less corrosion-resistant metal to a more resistant one, making the overall protection worse."
But then when you dig deeper on the citation for one of the responses, it gets a bit muddier.

I feel like I woke up this morning pretty confident that the things I know, I know. Now I'm not so sure. The cracks in the foundation are starting to show.
