I am wondering those of you that have or have had 13s and now 14s if you feel the extra weight? Weight it the enemy of all of us be it cars or motorcycles. I swung a leg over a 14 cb1100 standard (black) and really didnt notice any more weight than my NH even though I knew it had about 30 more. Now going up 70-75 could be a different story with the DLX. That is quite a bit more.
You know what, the 14 standard I sit on had no gas in it either or a battery and I rocked it back and forth to get a feel for it. Gas alone is around 25-30 lbs when full. No wonder it felt so light. A Nighthawk 750 is 500 lbs wet. That is my baseline.
I am a keebler elf so this stuff matters to me. Just curious if any of you guys with 14s dlx models noticed any difference to speak of?
