Hang in there. Degrees are not what they are cracked up to be unless you are a doctor, lawyer, school teacher or engineer that requires you to have one. FWIW, I have a BS degree and its not worth the paper its written on and was not worth the time, money or effort. Real world experience is what counts especially to the small businessman. BIg corps are different I know. I dont know what line of work you were in but maybe start checking with some small businesses. I have never worked at a big company and there are goods and bads both ways.
Common sense, a good work ethic, and desire to succeed trump a degree everytime in my book. I know this will work out for you in time. I have been in that position and know its tough.

my sister tells me her company (Oracle) put an ad for an entry position in her group "BS or MS from reputable school" they ends up hiring a young guy from MIT, out of hundred applicants.
