It looks like I will be out of the running for the highest mileage (miles put on the bike) any more as I was let go today due to my doctor keeping me out of work too long for their liking.

Sorry to hear Randy. I also think there's some Federal law that protects workers from being fired while out with an illness. Especially since it's a doctor that ordered it, and not just you playing hookey.

At least you still have a CB and live in California, that is doing better than most.

First thing I checked on. It has a limit of 12 weeks of protection and I'm at 19.
Yes, I just went through this....FMLA,they will hold your position for twelve weeks and I think they still have to keep you hired between 12 and 16 weeks but they can knock you down the pay scale and have you sweeping floors if they are a hard case....they might hire you back, but now they can start you at base pay, and all vacation that was accrued will be lost. I don't know what you did for a living or how bad you was hurt, but I would have told the doctor that you have to be back at one minute before twelve weeks, no options....It SUCKS, but that the way it is.....Sorry to hear Randy
Darn. On the other hand, the body sets its' own time schedule for healing and there is only so much you can do to hurry things along. Hope you can heal up and get back to work. Somewhere.
