Engine numbers

Ah ... wrong again. I knew there was somewhere that had picked up SC78 in the VIN. I thought it was the UK and Europe, but your reference to the engine number threw me. I guess it makes sense. Honda sees the 2017 and on CB1100 as a new bike but with the same engine that powered the earlier mode. It doesn't explain why Honda has stuck with SC65 in North American VINs.
