Interesting, apparently Harley paid particular attention to sound that their electric project bike makes (according to a representative). Best as I can tell from the YouTube videos, their bike sounds a bit like a turbine, not too bad. While I will always want an internal combustion motorcycle, I could see riding an electric bike in rural areas, just for the relative quiet. It's one of the satisfying aspects of road bicycle riding (especially going downhill).. the scenery going by in relative silence..
