Sorry to hear that. I guess it goes without saying to check your oil level before you ride it again. How far down the road did you make it before you noticed the warm sneaker? How much oil do you think splashed out?

It was a complete cluster. I got back put some oil in, couldn't see a level, put more in then realized I couldn't see a level because it was so over full there WAS NO LEVEL, had the fun of draining oil without draining all the oil and finally getting a correct level. I figure abour 1/2 a quart on my shoe in all. 3 quarts wasted figuring it out. Live and learn could have been so much worse.
I live in an extremely small town. People have been asking me why they saw me walking up and down the road like I was looking for something. Hmm... let me think... would that be the small black plastic thing that fell off somewhere on the 3mile loop?
