Well, after riding through rain for the last couple of weeks i managed to give the CB a partial wash at home before it all started again. as I post this message it is pouring rain outside and part of my ceiling is raining as well. We are currently experiencing the tail end of cyclone Debbie and hopefully it will all be over by the weekend. See link.

Bummer Tezza. Roof leaks not good.
Seems to be quite the rainy spring here too. I get rained on most every day. No sense washing it until it quits for a few days.
As a matter of fact they are calling for more rain this afternoon (it's 7;48 am and the sun is just coming up) so I am getting dressed for a ride right now. Maybe I can avoid getting wet today.

G'day Tezza
It was good to meet you on the rally, the rain here has not been as heavy as it has been north of here.
For March we had 23 mm of rain and the mean low of 14°c and high of 27°c here in Gippsland.
I also have had a go at cleaning the bike but only removed the worst of it.
Regards

Serious rain in SE Queensland over the past couple of days. Some places had 800 mm (32 inches I think) in 48 hours. Heaven knows how much fell further north where the cyclone came ashore.
I partially cleaned the bike in Sydney on the way home, but it collected more grot on the way home and needs work still.
Glad I got home before yesterday.
