Warranty BS as explained by an insider

The dealership where I purchased my CB wanted to sell me a non-Honda warranty. Since my older brother had long ago warned me about such, I ask them about a Honda warranty. It was only a little more expensive than the fly-by-night what-am-I-really-getting warranty. Their big selling point was that with this third party warranty I could have the bike repaired at a non-Honda dealership. I think I paid about $500.00 for two additional years.
