However, I have some questions concerning the stance of the CB.. As far as I can tell the bike is stock in terms of setup (I know a previous owner put low bars and then went back to stock)..
For around town blasting it's great. But I got it into some twisties this weekend.. I notice that in switchbacks i.e. quick transitions from side to side (left to right or vise versa) that the front feels a little loose.. Not bad as it's predictable, but I think it could be better
I know the CB has decent tires, but not sportbike tires for road stick, but I'm fairly certain it's not the case.. I don't remember the shock settings on the rear, I know I have em stiff, but not all the way..
I'm considering putting slightly lower bars, to put a little more weight on the front wheel, and maybe a fork brace just in case it's from some fork flex.. However, before I start tinkering, I'm curious to what other have found for setups..
Thanks in advance
Add some preload on the front, maybe a half turn at a time and see how you like it. I didn't like the stock settings on mine (I described it as "floaty") and ended up with a full turn of extra preload.
