I love my 2013 STD and I wouldn't trade up for a DLX. The STDs just look sportier to me. I don't mind the single sided exhaust at all.
ABS was an option on the 2013, but not on the 2014 STD. I've never had a bike with ABS, so I don't miss it. Had there been a 2013 with ABS available, I'd have gone that way, just for the sake of improved safety.
I think the DLX is probably more desirable to most, however, due to the larger tank, symmetrical exhaust, and ABS. Either way, they're all really beautiful bikes.
