Most BMW dealers I've worked with are happy to throw you the keys and say "just be back by closing." Perhaps A&S is different.
I'm 6'6" and couldn't find quiet air behind the screen of a '14 RT or the '08 RT I owned for three weeks before selling it out of frustration. Like your experience yesterday, I've learned a naked CB trumps anything with a screen, at least when it comes to wind noise.
