All I used was one 14 mm wrench to remove and tighten. Back off the top lock (jam) nut, unscrew the mirror, screw the mirror back down to near bottom and rotate it to where you want it, then tighten the locknut (jam) down, You could use another 14mm to really jam the two nuts together, but I didn't have to. Final adjustment is tilting the mirror itself.

That's the way mine work and how I do it.
