On a recent trip along a straight section of deserted highway, I found the speed limiter. The speedo showed 115 mph, and the GPS app on my phone said 113. I was tucked behind the Road Comet fairing as well as I could manage with the tank bag there. I have a rack and top box. I also had a T-bag on the seat behind me. The bike still felt planted. Not like my old V65, which got super light on the front end past 90. The CB1100 also felt like it had more to give. As DeSwami said back on page one: I'd rather speed be mechanically limited by gear/rpm than electronically limited by the ECU. That said, it was more fun to ride through the sweepers at 65.
