Yep, my sentiments exactly. I never owned a Honda before purchasing my '14 Standard. I had just finished messing with trying to restore a few Yamaha XS650s and realized my skills were far from sufficient, so I decided to go with "solid as an anchor" Honda. I'm sure they are overall and compared to other brands, but when it happens to you, it just doesn't feel that way. But...I was so MAD at Honda that I went out and bought another one!
The EX '17 and it's been trouble free, restoring my "faith" in Honda.
In the end, they are just machines, some behave badly because they are not designed well, others are mistreated, others simply break down because they do. Kind of like my body! In the end, my enjoyment of motorcycles and riding in general hasn't waned at all because of truly one, just one, mechanical difficulty.
