RE: Quad Lock handlebar vs clutch perch and bar-end mirrors
Some members are particularly sensitive to the bike's high frequency (myself included). This is somewhat dampened by heavy steel bar end weights that are themselves bolted to long steel bars suspended inside each end to dampen the vibes. Installing bar end mirrors would likely affect that vibration. Also, removal requires more than unscrewing the outer weight. You have to pull the left grip back and move/remove the right throttle pipe.
Furthermore, the stock mirrors, although they look like identical to those on other Hondas, they are specifically tuned/weighted to act as vibration dampeners for each particular model. For example, the mirrors on the 2013, 2014, and 2017EX are different and have different part numbers. You might not notice any difference, but on the CB1100 series, they went to great lengths to make it as perfect as possible.
As far as the phone mount, make sure it is secure and rubber mounted. Vibration and road shock have been known to damage phones, particularly camera function. Not trying to discourage modifications, just be aware that sometimes, it isn't as simple as it seems.
