Here's a tip I learned with a carb'd bike and ethanol gas. Ethanol is hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs water. causes rust. also the alcohol evaporates and the result is kind of gummy and plugs up the tiny orfices in carbs.
add 1/2 oz (15ml) of TCW3 two stroke oil into the gas. it's ashless, made to burn off with fuel in a chainsaw, weed wacker, outboard, etc. Just that tiny amount of oil in the gas will keep the tank from rusting with the ethanol gas we have to run. Walymart has a gallon of that stuff for a pretty cheap price and that will last many many fillups/miles. 256 fillups to be exact. I found some 2 oz HPDE plastic chemical bottles. Can't remember where from. I'd search for a chemistry products place. similar to https://www.berlinpackaging.com/312189-2...81c6c8ad58 One bottle works for 4 fillups on a trip and takes little space. Probably on a trip you don't need it too much as you're running gas through the bike regularly. But when the bike is sitting between trips I think is when you see the biggest benefit.
