Along time ago - I think during the 1930's, but the speed record would be surmounted by the mid-1990's somewhere else and it may have been tornadic.
Rode up to the top with some friends. Was in the low-mid 90's F at the base, but only about 40F at the summit + windchill. It was windy, but motorcycles were allowed that day.
