Being new to biking I'm not sure of the answer to this question...

When I hold the handlebar and extend my fingers in the same line/plane as my forearm, my fingers are a good 2cm, or nearly an inch, below the brake lever, clutch level and natural rest position of the throttle.

In other words, my hands are always bent upwards rather than being straight out...

...is this right?

To 'fix' this, it possible to rotate the handlebars forward to achieve that 'straight' position.

No adjust levers so they sit on the same plane as arms wrists and fingers. You can adjust the levers .

actually you may have to move both the bars and the levers. The levers are pinned and will only adjust so much.

Agreed. That sounds awkward, maybe even painful after awhile.

You might need to reassess adjustment after a ride... Wind pressure while you're riding can alter your ideal position.

LOL that's what it was like when my wife and I were on Mt Washington in New Hampshire a few years ago. They wouldn't let us go up on our motorcycle. Had to go get a buddy and his truck in order to get to go up. When we got up there it was kinda like that lol.

I like my levers angled down so my hand and fingers are in a natural, comfortable position. Try adjusting and doing short rides in different locations until you find your sweet spot.

Along time ago - I think during the 1930's, but the speed record would be surmounted by the mid-1990's somewhere else and it may have been tornadic.

Rode up to the top with some friends. Was in the low-mid 90's F at the base, but only about 40F at the summit + windchill. It was windy, but motorcycles were allowed that day.
