Report on K&N Filters

Though i might give a K&N filter a shot. I received it in the mail today and put it to a real world test.

I made two passes 0-100 with the stock filter.
7.89.
7.84
Two with the K&N
7.86
7.87
Went with no snorkel K&N
7.91

My bike runs a perfect A/F ratio at about 13.2 I though a little more air may lean it out some. My bike seems to make more HP just above the 13.2 mark.

So just sticking a K&N in your bike will net you 0 gains on top.

To give it some credit it did feel more responsive with 1/4 throttle inputs so I'll leave it in for now.

Does this suggest that replacing the stock snorkel with mods such as the TSR Air Intake Funnel actually hurts performance, rather than improve it?
