I need to replace the entire rear mudguard (fender) complete with tail-light and as I'm fitting the K17 tank, front mudguard, their "CB750-style" tail-light seems the obvious choice. Probably cheaper than stock, too!
Hi Baz. When I had my 2013, I replaced the stock taillight with the K10 item. It is a quality piece of kit, chromed steel instead of the plastic, and far less bulky. Installation was not that difficult, but be advised that you re-use one hole in the rear fender and drill two more for the new taillight, and you will probably want to plug the original hole left empty when the bigger unit vacates it. (You can find chrome plugs or appropriately sized bolts and washers for this.) But the wiring is straightforward, and the supplied instructions are pretty good. I would have done this mod to my 2017 last year, but the new taillight is LED and a different shape lens, and Whitehouse did not develop an updated version--the K17 unit is the same as the K10, according to Takashi. Happy to answer any questions if you move forward with this.

Many thanks for that, Bax. That's just what I needed to know!
Best wishes.
