Chip Beck Spec Low Handlebar/Mirrors Mod.

I picked up a set of Type 2 bars from one of the forum members and so far like the 2 inch lower position. They are a bit narrower, but this bike steers so light, it still turns in easily. Only at low speeds and pushing the bike around do I notice the lack of leverage.

I too found the stock mirrors to be unattractive, especially once I went to the lower bars. I picked up a set of Bikemaster American Chrome mirrors which are lower with a nice tear drop shape.

Searching their site, these look interesting ([url=http://www.bikemaster.com/old_school_tube.html]http://www.bikemaster.com/old_school_tube.html) as it appears that you can raise or lower their height vertically. Pushing them down low (close to the bars) and wide may be a good alternative to bar end mirrors, for those of us wanting to hold onto the bar end weights.
