I'm finding stuff available in smaller quantities, but everything seems to be chrome.

Isn't there some sort of plastic paint out there? I've seen people paint their car rims with this stuff, and it can be peeled it off later.
"Plasti-Dip" or something along those lines. Hopefully this is something that could be applied with a Q-tip or small paint brush.

When I put the SW bars on my bike, I remember having to paint the washers and newly-exposed mounting surfaces black. (That area stood out like a sore thumb on the black engine).
