The postal system is a convenient whipping boy for many, but from my experiences with the USPS and Canada Post, I think they do a pretty darn good job.
I do a fair amount of online shopping in the US and I'm sometimes amazed at how quickly my package will clear customs and is delivered.
I placed an online order with Whitehorse Press in New Hampshire on 16 June and received it today, 23 June. Pretty hard to find fault with that.
I've noted the delivery times from Japan many of you have commented on and that's very impressive.
