The 2017 US EX model is said to have a tank capacity of 4.4 US gallons or 16.65 litres—see http://powersports.honda.com/2017/cb1100...ions.aspx. Yet the Canadian bike is said to be only 14.6 litres—see https://motorcycle.honda.ca/model/naked/cb1100a. The Canadian bike as shown has the new tank. On the Honda Japan website the EX and RS tanks are shown as being 16 litre capacity.
Something's not quite right.
Nortoon, what capacity is your tank?

The information released prior to the 2017 EX be sold stated that the seamless tank would hold 16.8 liters (4.4 US gallons). HondaProKevin also shows this in his specifications.
I believe the Honda Canada information is wrong. Probably someone updating the website did not realize the new lumpy tank is larger than the previous standard models 14.6 liter tank. One only has to look at the pictures of the two tanks to see the standard model tanks are much sleeker and do not have the top ridge.
Except for two short break-in rides, my gas mileage is always 21 kilometers per liter for my day long rides. I spend most of my day around the 100 KPH range. So my run dry range would be 353 kilometers (219 miles). I believe in the write-ups there was mention of Honda wanting to have a 300 km (200 mile) range. I top mine up at around 250 kilometers as I ride some pretty quiet back roads with no gas stations and little traffic.
My CB1100 EX is always loafing along at 2500 tp 3000 RPM when I look down. Every once in a while I give her a boot in the butt by downshifting a notch or two. Amazing what happens at 4000 RPM. I think if the YouTube testers would try the other 2/3rds of the rev range, they would find the CB will give your arms a good tug.
Took my ear plugs out at the local gas station after topping up and riding home a couple of blocks away. The new CB EX mufflers are noisy. Not obnoxious, but certainly not Honda like.

I just sent inquiry to Honda Canada about fuel capacity for 2017 CB1100EX .
Let's just wait and see what info will come back from them.
