So, made a little more progress. Got the front brake lines sorted, the GSXR originals did not fit at all. Some aftermarket Galfer, dual line braided hoses worked a treat, quality stuff too. Got the clutch master cylinder clearance issue sorted. Found a lovely little plastic bung to hide the hole where the ugly stock mirror went on the clutch side. It looks great now. Let me know if you want to ditch the stock mirrors for bar end mirrors, 'cos this bung fills the hole in really nicely. Also fitted a new Brembo radial brake reservoir - it looks great.

Spent hours getting the rear wheel centered and the chain aligned. Found out that one stock shock mount was tweaked in the accident and I was using that as a reference point. Darn it! So i ran a fishing line with a weight on from the steering stem (no tank) across the frame and through the cross-member where the seat was. This showed me that the wheel was 1mm too far right with the chain aligned nicely. I think I am going to leave it 1mm off center so that the chain runs true.

I made the real swing arm spacers today too. I had been using plastic ones for ease of modification. I used the Ducati spacers that were on the 1198 swing arm and then used the original Honda spacers (cut down) to fill in the gaps at each side and in the middle. Pleased with my little self.

Also bit the bullet and bought a used Ducati 1198 frame (overkill, I know) so that I could use the suspension top mount from that frame instead of having to fabricate one. At least I know that it is strong enough and will fit exactly. It also allows me to cheat and get the suspension geometry (pivot to shock mount distance and angle) correct with way less hassle.

Has anyone else ditched the evap canister? I am asking for a friend obviously. Any issues? The book says that it is USA only. I may need the space that it occupies for suspension clearance. Looks to be USA emissions ridiculousness.

I also noticed while reading the book (geek, I know) that the fuel injection uses the rear wheel sensor input. The Ducati sensor is way different in what it reads, by that I mean that the spinning disks are very different so the signal from the sensor is bound to be different too. I wonder if that will cause any fueling issues?
