Good work Pekingduck.. the '17 sensor looks like common car WSS but cannot confirm 100% at this moment, just a thought for now, sorry.

Hi Peter, yes, it does look like a typical wheel speed sensor. I did some research and there are several types that look the same externally. There are active or passive, magnetic inductive, magneto resistive, Hall Effect, even reed switch like Trail Tech uses. Lots of confusing info on the web.

Since it was safety (ABS) related, was able to determine from Honda that it was a 2-wire Hall Effect, and the ABS module was looking for another type of signal, so the original sensor had to be used.
