PLOT Chain Guard

This probably broke due to vibration and skinny end design, which cannot absorb vibration and weight of the chain guard.

I would not fix it .
I would chrome plated existing plastic chain guard and reinstall it back.
This may not meet your expectation but this is what I would do.

On the other hand, to accommodate vibration, you may prefabricate canvas reinforced rubber strap, shape it to the guard's end then gently rivet it (tubular or semi-tubular type) to the inside, and finally bolt it by using a M6 flange type bolt. If done neatly, you want see any rubber strap.


Is there a reinforcement washer on the inside of the broken piece..?..probably yes..
