Adapting to 17" CBR wheels?

As promised, I caught the bike in the shop and as I suspected, the 17" wheel fits in the original swingarm, bearing had to be changed and spacer modified, it clears the notch on the chain guard by 3mm literally. The speed sensor is lost though and they are still figuring out what to do about it, most likely he will change the whole instrument cluster and put everything aftermarket.
