The U.S. will be fine. Short of another civil war, the people are stronger than the government and the nation has so much momentum that only a natural or celestial event may intervene.
Motorcycles, on the other hand - and not just the CB1100, are fickle discretionary purchases. The health of the global economy will bias what is worth supporting and what can be deferred or cancelled.
Arguably in a global dump, small air-cooled lumps might be more coveted than their large displacement brothers and sisters.
