interesting facts about the original Indian mfgr and Honda courtesy of the new Cycle World that came in today
Indian produced a total of 400,000 machines from it's beginning in 1901 until it closed it's doors in 1953
in 2014 Honda produced that same number of units every 8 1/2 days
another fun fact for me...My dads first motorcycle was an Indian Scout (against his parents wishes). He rode Indians until they closed their doors in 1953 and then he switched to Harleys. During the end of his riding career he switched to a Yamaha 350 (R5c), then series of Hondas CB 350/4, CB 200T, CB175, and CB 125, and his last bike a Moto Guzzi 125 Stornello
