Arrggg.. @##%%%^*&*
I am sure these bikes will be awesome street/sport touring bikes that could do some limited off road it's a 60/40 combo, with 60 being the street..... However, this means that the Tenere 660 single isn't coming state side EVER.. I really wanted that bike... To me that was more a 40/60 with 60 there being offroad...
I sold my KTM990Adv when I got my CB.. The KTM was an amazing sport touring machine. However, off road it was a handful.. I could do it (well after American supercamp) but it was big.. I would do it in group ride - but by myself I was hesitant, it's heavy and without solid footing one person might be able to upright it.. I have a KTM620 EGS-E, which is the low pipe adventure. It's not quite as big (ok, it's close) but the big single seemed more linear and more manageable off road, especially when it got harry.. I'd like to update it with a newer single. KTM's are awesome performance wise, but are time consuming to work on (I owned 3 at one time - I also had a 625 motard), and they haven't made their 625/640 Adventure since 07, just the endure.
So I really wanted the 660.. I thought it would have brought me as close as possible to what I wanted in a stock config....
Now, not so much
