Here's how to reattach the centerstand and spring easily:
Secure the bike so it doesn't roll or shift, even using zip ties around the squeezed front brake lever if needed.
Attach the spring on both ends.
On the other side, start putting the pivot pin in half way. This becomes the pivot point so you can grab the centerstand as leverage and move it into alignment.
If this is still too difficult:
Attach the spring at both ends.
On the same side, put something about the same size as the pivot shaft.
That becomes the pivot point.
You now have to line it up and push the actual pivot pin in all the way from the other side.
