The first-ride video reviews of the NT1100 all say that the bags will not hold a full-face helmet. It's not just the capacity, it's the shape. They aren't deep enough.

Those helmet guardians aren't going to work in the rain or mist. Park your bike on a foggy night to go to a Giants game, come back three or four hours later, and both the liner and inside of the face shield will be soaked. Those guardians also aren't going to work with a helmet worth stealing, not on the thieves-ridden streets of San Francisco.

So again, what would you do with your helmet if you rode your CB1100 or Z900 in the rain or mist? or to a Giants game on a foggy night? or onto the thieves-ridden streets of San Fransisco? You know stuff that sport bike and naked bike riders deal with all the time?
