Other than having to get down on my knees to see the site glass I find it far superior to a dip stick., but that's just me.
And the difference with a sight glass is ....? What exactly? On Monday you do what Honda tells you and the sight glass says it's OK. On Tuesday, having not ridden the bike at all, you do the same thing and the sight glass says something different. There's no oil to be seen anywhere. An hour later on the same Tuesday you repeat the process and get a different answer again.
Pffffft. Oil's tricky stuff. It mucks about with your head. Just look at how much time goes to talking about it on this forum.
