A relative from MI had an early 80's CB900. I considered one myself before going with the newer CB's(1100).
I also got my CB start with a 71 CB-750. My 1971 750 always ran fine when I owned it in the 80-81+ year timeframe.
That CB900 the relative had got me thinking about another CB. He has since traded it towards a used Harley. Good luck with the 900.
