Odd how we bikers can always find a way to rationalize every thing we buy.
In the late 60s when my buddies and I rode British Motorcycles a Triumph Bonneville was $1300 out the door. When I went to buy one 5 years ago they were $13,000 plus freight, dealer prep, and sales taxes. I could not bring myself to pay that much for a motorcycle. Last year when the CB1100 EX became available I had no problems spending that much. A good trade-in value for my CB500X helped.
