Whilst Cormanus rode to away to source a replacement filter along the road out of Gundagai Hubris Galactic Dactyl technical annalists established the superior friction modifying properties of the latest blend, also found on turn #4 at Phillip Island.
If I had not seen it i would not have believed it.

Pulled my K&N filter yesterday as it had a slow leak and I was down a pint. I tried to use the nut on top to remove the filter but it just spun. That's a sign, I think. Anyhow, to answer my own question from a different thread, you will lose about a quarter cup of oil if you remove the filter without first draining the oil. So use a catch pan but have no fear of a big mess.
