After reading searcher's post about wide open throttle i tried it myself and he is right, it won't start, i then tried it with my 919 hornet and the same happens; wide open throttle from startup produces a no-start.
It may be a feature in the engine control unit to clear a flooded situation by inhibiting the injectors from dosing fuel, the pump does prime as usual but injectors just don't operate, or a way to perform a compression test but that is just a guess, anyway it is good to know about these things and glad the cb is happy again.
