Hi Searcher, all oil will stick to most surfaces and do a good job at it, i guess it's a bit like the water bottling plant that advertises crystal clear water, and thereby trying to convince customers that the other brand has a bit less clear water, get it?
Oil is generally sloshed through our engine in such a way that it will make the engine outlast most here and that is part of the technology that we pay for, as far as storage and spraying oil in the cylinders, well it is probably better to have the engine run round the block,( not just idling in the garage) for 10 minutes or so every month on a fine day, that way corrosion has no chance to develop and everything keeps moving which is the most important aspect.
I appreciate you will want to care for your bike as best you can, so do all of us and that's what i found over the years, to keep the engine ticking over is the best preservation for fuel, valves, injectors, tires, brakes, battery, and all other things that go round and round .
