Yes, you are both correct, of course. The wider, the more stable. However, my problem was mainly the awkward, steep angle that the bike stood on, caused by the side stand that was too short. I very rarely park the bike on a soft surface, so the width of the foot was OK. In addition I also had to make sure that it fitted under/next to my Moriwaki exhaust: see picture. I now have left 1 cm space between exhaust and puck. And finally, it is also a bit of the old "form-over-function" trade-off: I didn't want it to look as if I had a hockey puck hanging on my stand! ![]() ![]() ![]() (08-10-2020, 11:26 PM)Inhouse Bob_imp Wrote: [quote='bioman' pid='272576' dateline='1597018467' Who are these strange folks who have hockey pucks just laying around?? Do they still play hockey in Canada ?

Did you ditch your center stand? That's one thing I'm not willing to give up.

Yes, I had to take the centre stand off when I put the 4-in-2 Moriwaki exhaust on. Very unfortunate but to be honest I rarely used it when it was still on.
Of course a centre stand comes in VERY handy when cleaning the chain and when changing oil, but I use a nifty roller (see [url=https://fortnine.ca/en/hardline-rollastand]here) for the chain-cleaning, and a front wheel stand when changing oil, so it is all good.

Ah yes, I remember years ago, they did "Puck Night" at a Kings game in L.A. All spectators got a hockey puck with a Toyo Tire logo on it.
Big mistake. Most of them got thrown onto the ice during game play. I nabbed a bunch of them and did a really bad body lift on the truck I was driving at the time. So, pucks have many uses beyond hockey.
