WANTED: 2014 CB1100 Deluxe

I live in Canada and I am specifically looking to purchase a Brand New or just like new CB1100 Deluxe in red.

I live on Ontario Canada and cannot get this motorcycle here. They offer a stripped down blue one and that does not interest me.

I am a very serious buyer and willing to pay freight to get it to my door.

I called Honda Canada and they would not even talk about getting me one, all they tried to do was talk me out of it by telling me no warranty yada yada yada.

Well guess what... I love this bike and still want it. It reminds me of my GS650G Suzuki I used to own when I was younger. I needed cash and it broke my heart to sell it. It was one of the biggest regrets in my life. The GB1100 is much more bike of course but the lines are eerily similar. Even the red color is the same as I used to have.

That is a big province and knowing where you are would help people immensely.

But......

You need to research your laws to find out if its even legal to import this bike. If the color is all that is stopping you, you might want to consider a 2013 or 2014 and swapping the tank for a red one. Those can be had for much less and would be a legal alternative to importing a bike you could never title or ride legally.
From what I know the frames are the same so If you REALLY wanted the look you could get the tank and seat shipped in from the states.

Something to think about. This way you would avoid shipping and importation taxes and have a legal road bike.

And I just confirmed that the fuel pump assembly is the same for both the standard and the DLX tanks.

I'm from Kitchener, Ontario. A couple of hours away from the border at windsor. Basically I am 1 hour away from Toronto.

As far as I know the laws for US and Canada for bikes are pretty similar.

The Canadian model is way different, it has four into one pipes, and is not a deluxe.

I was hoping to find someone (a dealer perhaps) who has done this before and could help me facilitate a brand new purchase.

Do you have family or friends in the USA and have them as a "second home/ holiday home and use that address to buy a bike in the USA and than use it in Canada.
Just an idea to screw the government !
I have sold many toy tractors to people in Canada and they often use an USA address.
Of course you need title and insurance etc etc. and that makes things more complicated.

I know I need a new metric speedo but I`m pretty sure that is it to bring the bike into compliance. I think a bilingual fuel sticker too but that is a pretty standard requirement.

Looks like I am going to be a proud owner of a 2014 CB1100 Deluxe in the next couple of weeks.

I found someone in Windsor Ontario that is going to buy one for me and handle all the paperwork. The bike is pretty well set to Canadian standards. Even the Instrument cluster is in Miles and Kilometers.

He is handling all paperwork including licensing and freight. It will come to my door all set. I told him I would pay for all expenses including Freight, service inspections, border fees etc.

So I will be paying retail price and then some but I will have the bike I'm looking for.

The only thing I would really like to do now is get a Canadian instrument cluster because I prefer the distances to be measured in Kilometers.

Is the distance readout digital? Can it be converted to Kilometers without replacing the cluster? Does anyone have a closeup picture of the speedo so I can see how the Kilometer reading looks? I want to see it before I decide to buy a new cluster.

Anyone know the price of a Canadian instrument cluster?
