I'm pretty sure that Honda didn't set the max speed based on concerns related to chassis dynamics. At the governed speed the bike is as rock solid as my shop anvil.

I ran mine about 5 miles at 130 tightly tucked in with no stability issues

Hey guys so i am looking to get my bike above the 115 speed restriction. What all do i need to do? Has anyone Actually done it? do i need to get a fuel chip as well?
All the knowledge you guys can pass down about the speed restriction would be very helpful thank you..

Look here: http://www.guhlmotors.com/
Then call Don Guhl. You will send him your ECU and he will reflash it. He can move the rev limits and/or remove the speed limiter. And do fuel remapping. It cost $350 or $375. I haven't done it yet, many have. Search the site for Don Guhl and many threads about it come up.

So I finally got my CB up to 105 on Saturday, but I'm curious, what does the bike do or what does it feel like when you hit the speed limiter?

It's a very mild limiter (unlike the Rev limiter, which is rather abrupt). It feels like it's turning off one of the injectors. You hit 112 and the engine mildly loses a bit of power. It kicks back in below 110. If you hold it there the speed will just oscillate between 110 and 115.

Thanks Flynrider, good to know, I'll definitely have to test it out sometime =)

So how fast does it go with the limeter off? Is it enough to even bother with it? Anyone know?
