I some times use a sheepskin on top of my Corbin, seems to help on longer rides. My guess is somehow it assists with air movement?
Corbin is firm! But much more.comfortable in the long run.

As Motogeezer suggested the best remedy for a candy tushed biker is riding more.

I agree with Geezer..the more you ride, the more your bottom becomes conditioned. Like any other muscle regular excercise helps. ( excercise in this case meaning riding). I have only found 1 seat I thought truly horrible and that was my son's FJ-09, but I bet if I could ride it every day after a few weeks I could be putting in 9 or 10 hours a day on it.

Some of us don't have much of a behind to exercise. My 4 ruptured disks put an end to long distance riding. Some stock seats are OK for me but the CB isn't one of them.

My Corbin took around 2000 miles to break in.

Yesterday, I went for a long ride (over 300 miles) and the two friends I was riding with were both complaining of stiff butts when we stopped at their house at the end.

I felt fine and rode another 70 miles home with no complaints. While I was initially skeptical, the Corbin has definitely proved it's worth for me as I know I can't last more than an hour on the standard stock seat.

I've learned two things about Corbins:

1)There are Corbin bums and there are non-Corbin buns. I'm in the non group.

2)Quality control at Corbin is spotty and you get the best results if you show up in person.

Sidebar: My Lamm seat, when I just have jeans on, puts my left leg to sleep. I need to have it redone. It will be done locally. Got a Russell Day Long on the Griso, that is truly a LONG distance high mile seat.

And I have a Day Long on the CB, great seat, wheather you are ok with the looks or not is for you to decide. Ill just say that my last 4 bikes all got Russell's. And my 1970 BMW R75/5 got a Meyer Day Long, Russel bought Meyer.

Picked up a ,Corbin seat from another member. I love the way it looks and it fits me well. Only thing is I don't think I'll live long enough to break it in.nAnyone else that owns one find them rather firm? Anyone have the foam replace by something softer?

I've got a gunfighter on order now, after reading the reviews here about the firmness of the seat I called them back and asked the rep. about it.
He said they could put in "softer foam" for no additional charge.
I said to do so, will have to wait until it gets here to see. If it's not soft enough I'll take it down to a local upholstery place and have them put in some memory foam or something. I'm 58 and my rear end is not what it used to be, and it does not see eye to eye with the stock seat. Will update when it arrives. Good luck. crutch.

I just put over 1000 miles on my Corbin in 48 hours. The first day, no problems even after 15 hours. The second day, I started getting uncomfortable after 10 hours but it went away after a 30 minute break. Most of the discomfort is my lower back from sleeping on the ground overnight. I splurged on a hotel room on the second night (tonight).

The stock seat put my rear to sleep in 45 minutes.
