I don't know about this
If you are going to design two big air scoops to feed twin oil coolers, why not just water cool it?
what am I not getting here?
those air scoops remind me of the scoop on the Vmax

Good looking. But dang, at that weight you may as well get a Miata and save all that time getting gear on and off.
I hope they sell a ton of them.

Just what the world needs, another V-Twin. I guess they know what sells. I'll take the FJR, please.

Yamaha's have always been works of art starting with the early 350 two strokes. Paintwork always beautiful. The Star motorcycles, especially the art deco style Stratoliners, are stunning in both looks and execution.
I think this new motorcycle is also a work of art. It seems to have nailed every need of a long distance touring machine. A good looking engine, the exhaust is tuned to sound beautiful, it has great storage capacity, heated seats and grips, six speed, cruise, comfy seats and four lights up top and fog lamps on the lower frame, beautiful chassis and body work, electric adjusting windscreen and is priced in the mid 20s, lower than many touring bikes like the Honda Goldwing except the very cheapest. It is fresh and comes standard with all I described.
...oh also forward and backward electric parking assist. Take that, Goldwing, right?

I like the look but not the weight or the price but hope it does well so I can see them on the road.

HEY LOOK
I got to sit on one of these beasts today, play with the switches, activate the forward and backward parking assist. It is a big bike and I am not a large person. At 5’6″ with a 26″ inseam I was surprised at how easy it was to throw my leg over the seat, I was able to heft it off the sidestand without getting a hernia, and was able to sit on the seat and flat foot it on both sides. That was amazing. It is a large motorcycle. Ergos felt good and the driver floorboards are long, the seat felt good. I imagine there will be people that will love this bike. Not my style though.
Saturday I will be attending Yamaha demo days and will be riding an FZ-10 and an FJR and probably a Bolt Scrambler ( you are allowed to ride 3).
They are more my style.(standards).
