Do 2014 Std and Deluxe seats interchange?

Do the seats from the 2014 Standard and the 2014 Deluxe model interchange?

I tried looking up the Genuine Honda Parts listing, and DOH ! OF COURSE they have different part numbers because different padding and covers.

The Deluxe tank is 1/2 gallon larger..... and I have already discovered that the OEM rear carrier installation is listed for a 2013/2014 Standard model - but not for the Deluxe model. Oh, I fitted one - but it was an interesting modification.

Sooooo - I wanted a Corbin seat - and they make no distinction between the Standard model and the Deluxe model.

That doesn't mean that it will fit - and they haven't a clue.

Can you go to a local Honda dealer with your seat and compare them?

Okay I have both the DLX and Std. I use a Corbin seat. I swap it between both bikes unless running a short errand.

The DLX seat is slightly better than the standard but both hurt after an hour or two. It is not a problem of being too hard but failing to be firm enough I suspect. But to be honest I could afford to lose a lot of weight.

Now saying that when I was well over 100 lbs less I found the seat on my new 1990 BMW to be bad news. The dealer told me when I bought the bike I would be back for a Corbin seat and he was correct.

I can ride in the Corbin all day and have pounded out 1,000 mile plus days on the BMW and feel the same for the CB.

If you want a better seat the DLX IMHO is not the best way to spend your money.

But for looks I put it back on.

Standard seat touches the back of the DLX tank. Place some clear protective film in the area of contact to prevent any scratching.

I ordered a complete seat for 2014 Deluxe and installed it on my 2013 CB1100. No issues what so ever.

Yes the 2013 and 2014 Dlx seats are interchangeable. I do it all the time. And my Corbin seat also fits on both.

Hmmm that's odd as the K&H seats on Samurider have specific models for standard and DLX versions, with clear language one seat is not for the other
